  • Hey lady

Time for me to go to bed but thought I would post about Friday - I will aim to be out of work at about 4 and will call you when I leave to see where you are (and will call if I am going to be late - am determined not to be though)

Gemmzie and Beanie - no pressure but it would be lovely to see you ;):D Will we be graced with your presence??

    Numpty - see you Friday!

Hello everyone from Chez Wol

and before you ask NUmpty Hun....YES, YES...I've done it!!...the hard copy of the inventory went off yesterday together with all the piccies/receipts to the loss adjuster. .:j .promise promise I'm not telling porkies.......so is it OK for me to come back on line again now please :D :kisses3:

    Phew....what a busy busy time...sorry I've been a bit elusive but:

A new long snagging list and line by line dissection of the builders "proposed charges" (I am being polite) for each item of work had to be prepared at short notice and sent off to the surveyor who has been holding the final negotiations with the builders today and will send me their response tomorrow (Hope it's not too nasty ;) )

The guinea pigs have now all been moved into the dining room as it was getting just too cold for them outside and my two big boys Maple and Willow were starting to get coughs.

The computer now has a fully automatic flood-proof back up system and is working properly again :T

The Parish council surveys have all been collected and I have visited every house to canvass the owners ref flooding issues in my capacity of Chair of the village Flood Forum

I have managed to squeeze in an extra 3 days billable work this month at short notice and so have invoiced enough to cover the mortgage and bills and have geenrated more work for this week and next week:T :T

BUT....sorry Poor...I can't get the boiler to break down so looks like I might have to settle for Plan C and order some flat packed furniture to satisfy your cravings this weekend:rotfl: :rotfl:

And equally sorry to Gemzzie, Beanie and Jinky and anyone else for any confusion...the original plan (PLan A) when Poor and Numpty came down this weekend was to see Wols restored house/environs after the flood and help unpack some of the boxes. However I think the revised plan B proposed by Poor is for the boiler to break down and the aformentioned tasty gas man come back to fix it -.. hence it was remarked to all you lovely ladies that the weekend might develop into an open house/free-for-all to oggle said gas man.. ......... ..

....unhappily he did such a good job (with the boiler :p ) on the first visit, I can;t find a reason to call him back . (ooops....cue a determined Poor arriving with a hammer....:rotfl::rotfl: )

Anyhow, I'm sure we will be on line this weekend to chat to you all....and if you would like a weekend away chez moi (I only have two spare beds so can do two at a time unless you're prepared to bunk up!!) then Pm me to put a date in the diary as I'd love to see you.

Back tomorrow.........but not without first saying Hi to Piglet..sorry you've not been feeling well Hun :A ..:grouphug: :grouphug: (...and week weeek to Speedy)
    Love to all

    Hi Wol
Hope that the snagging list discussions sort out everything and it means that the house is finally sorted.
I haven't looked at the last few pages, as I am trying to say hi to lots of people quickly, but I hope that you have made progress with your arm, that you are feeling more at home now and that things are generally going better for you
