p45 & p60 help...

i lost my job end of april... and they sent me my p45 & p60 out i am now on the dole what do i do with these hand them into the job centre?

    You should keep the P60 on file. You may need it in future for tax purposes.
    You should hand the P45 to your next employer...... it includes your tax code and will enable the employer to charge you the correct amount of tax
    Watch out for the sandbag.

    okay, but im wondering if i give it to the job centre i may be entitled to some tax back??

    Yes, hand your P45 to the job centre but any tax owed for this tax year will not be rebated by them.

    When you sign off they will issue you a P45.
