Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Big thanks to Sally06, I got my Eve bag today with the coupon you sent me.
Grabbed the first one without realising they came in two different colours, I got the red spotted one. Thanks a lot!!
  • I need therapy too now. After reading 15 pages yesterday I went to the town centre Boots and spent a shocking £66.
My ds says I am not a Money saving expert anymore.
I bought the Olay regenrist cream £29.99 and it had better make me look 10 years younger.
I got loads of reduced stuff Elle. Lomi (which were on 3 for 2 and reduced to £1.25.
I got the olay gwp, very nice, and also a reduced memory card £4.25.
I did get 1200 points though.. through all the coupons from ACM and mailing.
The UG glitch didn't work. The SA tried the ACM coupon and it didn't work. I don't know how you all got it. So I just used the half price one. The sa said that the acm one wouldn't work at all while the hair care voucher was current. Now I know that's wrong or why would they let me print it.

    Lots of make up !!!!!

I have nowhere near that much ............but I am not sentimental so don't keep stuff! I also have a clear out every few months and get rid of stuff that has been opened/used so mine is probably a third of that but all bought in the last year!

yes, it is the same with me now. i clear my closets once or twice a year (not the Boots ones :) ), but its different in my country (Eastern Europe), people keep everything till they die! that is because they dont have so much money to spend every week/month/year

    Buffy!
LOL, you make me feel so much better about my stash. I too have make-up that I've kept for sentimental reasons. My prized posessions are two Mary Quant palettes which date back to the 1970's, I Googled some images and found the same ones are now in the Mary Quant museum! I daren't use them as they have probably gone off by now :rotfl: Wish I still had my MQ Jelly Baby eye colours....

S&G Clean of England is my favourite of the range, the smell reminds me of Aqua Manda, again from the 1970's. Anyone remember the Radio Luxembourg ads for it? :D Aquaaaa Mandaaaaaaaaaaaaa :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh nostalgia, it ain't what it used to be :D

The only rule I have found is that my local store never has nuffink reduced

thats strange, the smaller shop, the better deals (not always :D). but i have tried two stores in my town, and the small one, had many bargains to take away! and the bigger one, didnt have any reductions at all!

Glidergirluk, you poor thing - harsh lesson. Isn't it horrible when you do something with such awful consequences and you just can't help kicking yourself and wishing you could go back a couple of hours and just do things again.

Puts my 'silly' day in perspective! I had 'one of those days' - had to run for the bus. Then lost my AC card - thought I'd left it on the counter in Boots, but finally found it in a pocket in my handbag that I don't usually use! Neither of the ACM machines were working (growl) All the reduced shelves had been cleaned out! And finally, almost home I put my hand in my pocket to find my door key and it wasn't there - had to walk to mums to get my spare (with heavy shopping bags) and when I got home, there was my key - in my unlocked front door, where it had been for 3 hours, with the house empty - shame Boots don't sell Valium over the counter - I needed it!!

Did have a fair-ish shop though.

Used my 4 fragrance vouchers but they weren't giving any more out.

    Got Oral B precision clean toothbrushes x 2 - £12.37 ea
    4x heads for above - £7.32
    Coolwater Wave EDT - £5.50
    Game Men 30ml - £7.99
    CKin2u Her 20ml - £7.50
    CKin2u Him 20ml - £7.50

    4x Haircare splits

    Total Spend - £60.55

Total Points - 1832 (1500 on oral b, 100 total spend, rest 'normal')

SA was lovely - gave loads of time to help with fragrances. Also volunteered to give me 100 extra points as I couln't get a total spend from the ACM as it wasn't working - was totally her idea too!

    (sorry for essay-like post!)

Sorry to quote myself, but I've just remembered - they had loads of reduced memory cards including 512mb ones reduced to £1.25 - and I didn't have any memory card points vouchers! (sob)

I couldn't check the ACM as out of order - are there any in there this month? Seems odd there were no reduced mem cards until after change-over - had the acm vouchers but went out of date last tuesday.

    hi,

if you need one, pm me. i will try to find it, i am sure i have it in my bag
  • I have been thinking about getting the Fit Flops for a while, then they went out of stock in all sizes. Now they are back again and I have done the following order:

    Fit Flops £36
    Jemma Kidd Nail Buffer x 4 £16
    TOTAL: £52
    POINTS EARNED: 2208

    1000 for the Jemma Kidd
500 for spending over £50 (Boots automatically add on)
500 for £50 spend (Voucher code)
    + Free postage

So to my mind, I have got the Fit Flops for £30 plus the nail buffers free for pressies, as I will use the points on essentials and (hopefully) bargains in store. Unlike a lot of people I have no problem at all in spending my points!!
