Hi I got 10 of those just like it know idea where they were bought as it was a Xmas present. out of the 10 4 dont work, the batteries inside are fine I can charge them up, but the solar or the led bulb wont light. The 6 that do work arent very bright it looks nice when light but it wont cast any brightness over a path much at all, waste of money if you ask me0

I took these back, due to lack of brightness.
These run off a single rechargable battery, but have since found some less attractive ones, but they run off a double rechargable battery and give off a much brighter light.

Our solar lights lasted just about a year! cant remember where we got them, wouldnt waste my £ again. We got the low voltage ones now, far better. But you do have cables and to plug them in.Norn Iron club member - 2650

I think people have to high an expectation from solar lights at the minute. They do not give off much light but will be enough to mark out a path etc.. We got a load from Homebase .. some lasted for under a year (and replaced under waranty), others lasted a couple of years and some are now 5 years old and still going strong.
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0 -
Got the homebase one myself as well and they have lasted very well

I take them apart every spring give them a wee clean, especially the solar receiver and give the AAA batteries a full charge from the mains. This tends to do the trick nicely the lights I have are the double AAA variety, got them 3 for £10 if I remember correctly.I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
Tesco.com have their solar lighting reduced, might be worth a look.
JohnnypanicThe person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.0 -
