The actual ccact 1974 says the day after they received it is the first day. As I have said the 12wd+2 letter is up to you (personally I have). At this point in time it is important that you make it an official complaint, they then have 56 days to action the complaint at which time the FOS can be lagitamately involved.
Even if you don't get your CCA it is up to you weather you continue paying or not! but the rule of thumb says No CCA=No Pay.
Don't get confussed between written off and in dispute and unenforceable in a court of Law. Written off means that the company sees the debt has unworthy of chasing (that doesn't mean another dca won't buy it and try), dispute means you are questioning the legality of their claim and unenforceable simply means that a judge can not enforce it. the debt is still there and some will try and collect although they cannot take you to court (well some will go through the process to frieghten you)
