Where do I begin with my debts???

I opened a think banking account to try and help but it's proving a lot of hassle.
I owe around £1900 on an Egg card, 0% until I believe May next year. Around £4000 on a LV card (but £3000 is a friends debt, yes I know bad idea don't ask
) plus £1000 in HSBC overdraft, around £600 on Additions (£300 is the same friends) £100 on Next Directory and it's just confusing. I have no idea when I have money coming in or out and where I thought the new bank account would help it isn't.
The friend is giving me money, just not regularly. Apparently I'll be getting around £100 a week from them now, starting in two weeks.
I considered a loan or something to consolidate debt but am not accepted for any. Not entirely sure why, I haven't missed payments or anything but have lived here for only 6 years (although I'm British) so maybe that's it.
Where do I start???

Hi & welcome to the forum
First and foremost, I wouldn't have a consolidation loan, never a good idea I know from my own experience, and most members on here will agree, consolidation loans are never a good idea.
A good place to start to help will be if you can post your SOA (Statement of Affairs) click here to complete your SOAClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
okay here is my soa
I haven't included money for presents or clothes or anything. The way I look at that is it's not a monthly expense, it's optional when I have the cash. I'm sure I've missed loads though cos I don't have any money!!!

Hello,
Your grocery bill is quite high..how many people is that for?
Also, your water bill might be cut if you go on a meter? (depending on how many people are using it-definitely worth it for one or two people). It might also be worth trying to cut down your mobile phone tariff and also your TV licence seems too high for monthly? Your council tax seems low...assume that is a shared bill?0 -
Groceries are for me and two children, can't get it lower no matter how hard i try.
Water bill is on a metre. Mobile bill I've just started a n ew contract go with a very generous allowance so i know i wont go over. tv license is 33 for a few more months as its a new licence then goes down to is it 16 a month? 11?0 -
It's 11 pound something for the TV licence. It might be worth looking at the old style boards for ideas for recipes to try and cut down on grocery shopping. It is also worth signing up to Quidco and some survey sites to get a bit of extra income for birthdays etc0

I think your groceries are very high, if you break it down that's £80.00 pw, seems very high.

Should the buildings insurance be contents insurance? why is your council tax so low, is it an error?
