Hi
Someone suggested I posted my Income and expenditure in a new thread as it needs tweaking for BR. I know about the tobacco allowance and the prescriptions. Any other things to add or remove would be greatly appreciated
Income
1115.84 for both my partner and I (only me going BC) this is Incapacity benefit and Disability Living Allowance, and a small amount of Housing benefit again for both of us. Is Disability Living allowance taken into consideration as its not when calculating Housing Benefit?
Expenses
Housing
Rent 306.28
Council Tax 66.6
Water Rates in with the rent
Gas 40
Electricity 60
Home Insurance 20 (added thanks to peachyprice)
Services
Telephone 20 (Internet isnt allowed, this is an estimate)
Mobile Phones 20 (two payg, reduced to 10 each from 30 for both)
TV License 12
Motoring
Road Tax 18
Insurance 46.53
Fuel/parking 70 (Upped from 40, to justify using the vehicle)
Housekeeping
Food, toiletries, cleaning 350 (two adults upped from 250)
Clothing 20
Hairdressing 20
Medicines/prescriptions 20 (aware of the prepay system 10 p.m for two of us)
Dentist/Opticians 13
Modest holiday 25 (dont want to be greedy although we do go out on day trips so not unrealistic)
Totals 1117.41
Total remaining surplus -1.57 for both of us each month.
Thanks in advance, as alway peoples help is highly appreciated.

clothing, £30-40 for a modest holiday, housekeeping os way too low!! up by £100 at least
That alone should zero your surplus and give you a more realistic budget.Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -

But i read that the CCCS recommends 125 per person per month for food. But who am I to argue hehe.
Deficit of 1.57 now from 100+ spare"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

doubt it:p
I would put clothes before you put holiday though, less likely for a strict OR to dissalow clothes than holidays
As your on benefits though i wouldnt stress too much as the OR cant force an IPA in your situation anywayThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all ………….0 -
