Hopefully I'm doing this right :)

I've done some number crunching, worked out a DFD and budget, my main issue seems to be casual unplanned spending especially on taxis  which I've managed to nip in the bud so far this month. I have a regular additional income of £250 a month though it may dry up, though that's true with everything!

I have 1 additional credit card which I clear in full each month, previous unplanned spending :o means I have £427 to clear this month and £70 to clear next month. I've prepaid my laptop insurance £39 and household insurance £200. Wasn't sure if I included those above broken down by month? I think I have everything but there is sure to be something missed.

I live alone in a 3-bed so am considering redecorating and taking on a lodger. Ideally partner and I want to buy a place together closer to his work but I'd like to be completely debt-free first.

Based on the above budget, I estimated I'd be able to put the £550 towards my loan after Jan-2009 and be debt free by Jan-2010. Time is my biggest issue, I work full time, study part time ( paid for by work ) and work part time too and then weekend at partners.

Any ideas or comments are welcome. Be gentle!

Ok, I did type out a reply, but I've deleted it, because, I'm not sure what's weekly and what's monthly......is your food bill £55 per week or month?

Hi, all my figures are per month. Being away at the weekends means I don't spend much on food :)
