  • do you have to order several times and group your orders into items of similar prices to maximise the discount or do they just knock 33%off the whole order???

Site says discount provided automatically but have to enter credit card details before getting a final price (bizarre way round to do it!!)

In the past they take 33% off each item. You could always try and put an order through then immediately cancel it if it was not to your liking.

they took 33% off the total last year when I ordered as I rang them before I paid as I couldn't work the discount out!I thought it would be 2 higher charged items full price, 3rd one free.

Just tried it, my basket had £42 of school wear in and it discounted £14 so its taking 33% off the whole order.

Never tried their school wear as its not somewhere I usually shop for clothes, used Next last year and it lasted well. Does anybody know what the pure cotton jumpers are like as it says they are £2 and they are £6 in Next. Would rather spend more at the start if the cheaper ones are false economy.

The M&S 3for2 does not take off the 33% as it has in the past. It takes the 3rd cheapest item in descending order. So if you order a coat for £20 and two pinafores for £10 then you get the £10 item free, not £13.33 off your bill. IF then you add other cheaper items to the basket those also go off in descending order so £6 shirts, £6 dress and £3.50 skirt means you get the £3.50 skirt free.

Very good deal, especially the winter coats. Last years M&S uniform still look in excellent condition, unfortunately my daughter keeps getting taller :-)

I do believe the free delivery comes off the original price before the 3for2 kicks in. Quidco also offers 5% cashback

Does anybody know if the offer is instore to?

The cotton jumpers on the site say unisex yet the picture shows different seams on the boys and girls ones - dont like the girls version as it wouldnt suit a boy.

not sure abt the cotton jumpers, my son has the blue tops, sweat shirt like, they were £3 last year, and have lasted fine, I buy all his uniform from Marks, and it's good.

In my opinion the cheaper jumpers from M & S aren't that great, I bought them in the past and they didn't make it til christmas, the rest of the schoolwear is great (especially when it's 3 for 2) I usually stock up this time of year for the new term in September and my kids are still wearing last years and it still looks great :)

Daisyflower - the offer is usually instore too :)

Thank you, I'll stick to Next then as I know the quality is great and the fit is good as well. May try the polo shirts from M&S if I get to a store, not worth the delivery cost online just for those.
