Discharged - What Now?

Completely out of the blue, I have today, 13th. June, received a letter from the OR informing me that I was discharged from bankruptcy on 31st. May.
How does being discharged affect me in real, practical terms?
What can I do now that I couldn't do on 30th. May?
Do I need to inform my bank or anyone else?

Seriously though.. here's a link that gives you the "facts" of what it means..

Might be worth starting on your credit file (making sure its right etc) as in the sticky up top?:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
:T Great news Julian.
You can now keep any lottery wins etc, and if your not in an IPA you can increase your earnings if you wish.
You might also be able to get a savings account (barclays are allowing discharged BRs one if you already have their basic account)The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
.... you could borrow more than £500 without declaring you are a bankrupt!
I can't believe you're already discharged, how long was that?

Declared BR 14/11/07, discharged 31/05/08. Not bad eh?
Could it be due to the fact that I kept the OR meticulously formed of all changes in circumstances, filled in and returned all forms promptly and paid my repayments bang on time EVERY month?0 -
nope....it all comes from how busy your OR office was & if your creditors objected to an ED...nothing to do with how well you provided information or payments on timeWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
