Won a holiday????

My partner got a missed call on his mobile from this number 01383 740915 select holidays so i called back to see who it was. Apparantly he has won a 7 night holiday in a 5* hotel inc flights. He can choose which one of their hotels to stay in(uk or abroad). We have to go and collect the tickets and go over everything at a hotel close to us. She stressed the point that this is not a time share scam. She said that once everything is booked then there's an admin fee of £29.95 pp.

Is this a scam?? Has anyone else had this call? They said it was a comp he entered called 2 minute draw.

If you 'win' a holiday in a competition you haven't entered, then you have not won a holiday!

Having to pay an Admin fee makes it obvious it's a scam as does having to go and collect tickets (this is where you get the HARD sell).

Yeah i thought it a bit strange that we had to pick them up. He said he thinks he did enter the comp but he's only just started so if he did then it would have been from these boards. Such a pity too, we could have done with a nice holiday

When you do actually enter a genuine competition then you know where you would be going.

eg "Win a Holiday for 2 in the Bahamas" that sort of thing.

Not "Win a holiday for 2 in a non-descript location"

Yep, hopefully. Would have been nice if this had been a proper win. I thought it was strange that they would give me a holiday worth well over £1500 yet ask me to pay £29.95pp.lol! Thanks everyone.
