Need to save some money and was thinking of getting shot of Sky Movies, but seem to remember that if I got rid of it I would be charged £10 a month for the Sky+, which defeats the object.Does anyone know it this is right. Or other ways of saving on Sky. Pay £ 38 a month a mo, need to cut it right
down. Thanks

Have you thought about getting freesat for a one off payment you can buy a digital box hook it up to your sky dish and watch free HD from ITV and BBC and they are some film channels apparently (true movies 1 and 2) edite and two men for movies
More channels to come as it was launched recently

EDIT PVR's like sky+ boxes are due for release in next few months so you may need a dual or quad LNB on your dish which aren't that expensive plus extra cable to box
Wont take you long to recover the £38 you pay sky 3 months and you have got a new box you bought from the savings you pay sky and then you are saving lots0 -

Hi Dorien, have no fear - the fee for sky+ has now been scrapped. I was in the same boat, couldn't justify the cost (sounds like I may have had the same package as you) as we don't watch the movies but wanted to keep sky+ . From june last year the sky+ fee was scrapped. We downgraded to a 3 mix pack for £19 pm and still have sky+.
You do need to have some kind of Sky subscription though for sky+ to work, if you go for a free-to-air card or freesat it will no longer work0 -

Many thanks , will go for this option for now, until the freesat has more channels etc. Do love my Sky + would be lost without it.:j :j :j :T :T0 -
