Do you know what their unit price is for Electric?
When we moved out of our old house, we overpaid re the electric bill, as the wrong reading had been taken, the difference was 500 units. Was expecting a substantial refund, but it went to one of the old house mates, who then told us we were getting just £16 back, so that meant between the 5 of us, we'd got £80.....
I think he is ripping us off, especially seen as we've asked for a copy of the bill and not received one!
Any advice?

It depends on the tariff to be honest.
I work for npower but i have nothing to do with the supply / billing etc.
If you were all named on the account you could ring up and ask for your own copy of the bill and get it sent straight to you so you can find out if your mates conned you or not. If your name isnt on the accuont, and unless he provides you with a copy bill i wouldnt hold out much hope of getting any more money out of him tbh0 -

Unfortunately we weren't all named on the bill, was just in one persons name.
Its really frustrating, because I am sure that whatever tariff we were on, it cost more than 16p a unit for electricity!
They were quick to forward the bill on when it needed paying after we all left, so the fact that they won't send on the revised bill showing the credit makes me think that they are hiding something.
Going to try and get old LL involved and see if he can sort it.0 -
Hi...suggest you go and take a look at the Gas & Elec board if you've not already.....
There are some folks on there who probably memorise the rates tables from date of publication! For what I've done...I start again...And whatever pain may come ...Today this ends... I'm forgiving what I've done -AF since June 20070
