Credit Expert report shows no defaults..

I have approx £18k unsecured debt ( loans and credit cards) mainly with halifax and Natwest that i defaulted on over 4 years ago i took them all out in 2002. around 18 months to 2 years ago i did a credit check ( 30day free trial one) and it showed everything all my defaults with natwest halifax etc.
i have today recieved my pin to do a check on credit expert and it only shows
current lloyds creditcard - 1 missed payment
secured loan - no missed payments
mortgage ( previous) settled
mortgage current - no missed payments

what happened to all my debt ? i dnt expect it just been wiped away after all i do still get letters from DCA.
does this mean my credit score could improve without these debts on show? and just cos it aint shown on this credit expert file will it still be shown elsewhere?
thx
nat

Have you checked all three credit agencies? I think some companies only report to one. Other then that, I don't really know. Sorry. Let us know if you do solve the mystery though.

    hiya

same thing happened to me I moved and defaulted on 2 loans and a credit card about 4 yrs ago....no mention of any of them on my credit file....WEIRD!
  • You need to search all three, also the paper ones are best. Each agency hold different information about you, one may not have all your defults but the others may do. It would be very very unusual if your debts have been removed within a time frame of only 4 years with non payment.

It must be the agency not reporting it. I am not sure are we allowed to mention the company names?? As I have checked two of the major UK ones only one bring all the dirty laundry, the other is useless report only one account I have over 8 accounts including loan, cc etc
  • Experian did this to me last month and I dont know why, am waiting for them to contact me x
