I want to buy a portable electric point

Does anyone know if these exist? I need to be able to plug a normal household plug into it and it be powered without a mains.

I'm thinking of a kind of block that I can charge up at home, and when I go out and I can plug electrical appliances into it to make them work?

Your post is lacking a little info like current draw, will you have a car in the area, can you have a 12V car battery on hand, can you have a noisy petrol generator etc.
You can run a 12VDC to 230VAC invertor off a car battery or lighter socket which you could pick up from £20 but probably only 200W. Anymore and it will cost more and if want to run it for any length of time you will need to leave your car running. I've seen cheapo generators circa 800W at arounf £40. You really need to give a few more clues on how remote you will be, current draw and for how long etc.
