Please could any one tell me if they have had any dealings with these people . I have had a letter today from them from my Aliance and Leicester card . It saysthat i have failed to pay the balance on my card and that they may commence legal proceeedings . I am on my own DMP And have been paying A and L a reduced payment for last 3 months , i have responded to all letters they have sent me . Is this just a threat ? thanks for your help

I have :mad: I had written to MBNA/A&L to tell them I was dealing with Payplan - several times - then got a letter from Optima. I wrote back saying that I'd already written to them, gave them my Payplan number again, and virtually asked if they ever bother to read their mail or talk to MBNA ever I don't think I was very patient with them. That was about 6 weeks ago and today I heard from MBNA/A&L that they'd received my first payment from Payplan, wanted more money otherwise it will go to default and be passed to a DCA but nothing further was mentioned about Optima, or any legal action.

I was getting really annoyed with MBNA by the time I wrote to Optima as they'd been texting me every day instead of writing to me so maybe that came through in my letter? I'm still expecting to hear from them but at least I now have it in writing from MBNA that, while they aren't happy with the amount I'm paying, at least they are receiving something.
