The best thing you can do is request a copy of the signed credit agreement using this template. If you put in a search on this forum you'll see they are a pack of bullies trying to intimidate you into paying.

Dear Sir/Madam
Re:− Account/Reference Number ************
I do not acknowledge any debt to your company.
With reference to the above agreement, we would be grateful if you would send us a copy of this credit agreement.
1. We understand that under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (Sections 77−79), we are entitled to receive a copy of our credit agreement on request; your obligation also extends to providing a statement of account. . We enclose a payment of £1.00 which represents the fee payable under the Consumer Credit Act.
2. A signed true copy of the deed of assignment of the above referenced agreement that you allege exists.
We understand a copy of our credit agreement should be supplied within 12 working days.
3. You are notified that you are obliged to supply these documents, whether you are the original creditor or not under S189 of the CCA 1974.
We understand that under the Consumer Credit Act creditors are unable to enforce an agreement if they fail to comply with a request for a copy of the agreement under these sections of the Act.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully

Remember not to sign it, just print your name!
and send a postal order not a cheque.
This is important put I DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ANY DEBT TO YOUR COMPANY OR ANY COMPANY YOU CLAIM TO REPRESENT at the top of your letter and every correspondence you send to them, as this means your not acknowledging owing anything to them
send all letters recorded delivery.
1st credit always threaten legal action its just scare tactics to make you pay up. They cannot do a thing without proving you owe the debt and it's their place to prove it not yours. Do not feel intimidated by these low lifes they will try.
Never ring them keep everything in writing.
You can also send a letter disputing the debt using this template but make sure you put the I DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE statement at the top (very important)

I know you said you are in NI but i've had a look and the consumer credit act 1974 is enforcable in NI so these letters will be ok for you also 1st Credit is an English based debt collection agency so either way they still stand.Supporting the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust0 -
