Fair question, Conrad, but what are the alternatives for people who are interested in a career in financial advice?
IFA (but that requires for more exams - 9 shortly not including Cemap).
Bank tied agent - ok its a salesforce but at least they train you and give you clients and you get to learn your trade and make mistakes on bank customers with no liability on yourself.
Stockbroker - long term again.
Bank clerk (yawn.... Is that all you really earn!)
Insurance company call centre (wouldnt wish that on anyone).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Less sales and more advice and strategy......accountancy, tax, even audit?
ACCA? ICAEW?
Long term, but if you can get a contract you can work and study at the same time.0 -

You need to regain perspective.
Can you sit this again and not cancel? If yes, then you have nothing to lose by sitting now.
Can you cancel and get fees back considering prior illness? If yes and it's stressing you to sit then do that.
You may be struggling because you are cramming too much given the time pressure. If that is the case, you'd be better breaking your day into 40 minute segments with 20 mins break after each and a proper lunch and tea time break. You need to then look at what you will study, or which paper you are going to sit, or mark during each segment . I can't help you with that - I've never done Cemap!0
