Hi all, I'm new
Last week I had a letter from Moorcroft telling me to basically pay a £399 debt by a certain date or they were sending the boys around, I looked on here because I simply dont have the money and found the letter asking for the CCA so I sent that recorded and enclosed my postal order.
This morning they sent me a letter back saying they couldnt provide it as they are no longer dealing with my account and have gave me my postal order back.
What does that mean as last week they were willing to send the boys around and now this week they suddenly not dealing with it anymore!!
Thank you xx

It means that last week they were talking a load of rubbish, and trying to scare you into paying an unenforceable account before you became "wise" to them.
They may pass it on to someone else so get back to us if you hear from a different firm.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Hi,
sorry I can't offer any advice on this matter, but didnt want to read & run. I'm sure that someone with more knowledge than myself will be along soon, I'll check later & give you a bump if necessary,
Best wishes

If I do hear from someone else should I do the same again?
I forgot to say earlier that at the bottom of the letter it says that all furture queries and payments should be made to the original debtor which is Littlewoods.0 -
What Moorcroft should legally have done is pass the request on to Littlewoods, who would then have had to supply the CCA to Moorcroft to pass on to you.
They have wiggled out of doing this by pretending that they don't have to.
Personally, if it was me then I would CCA Littlewoods directly now.
However, some people would rather sit tight and see if anyone else contacts them over the debt. It's your call really.

Thought I should add:
If this is an old Littlewoods (some form of catalogue) debt then this is useful to read.
