Possible old debts.. CCJs?

Hi Guys

Well i was rifling through my old paperwork and found 2 letters from 2 different DCA for 2 seperate debts. One was dated 2004 and one 2005.

I probably buried my head in the sand with both of these as i dont recall either one

Both threaten court action but i cant find any court papers in my paperwork, and I have just checked my credit file and there is nothing relating to either fo these on there, nor are there any CCJs registered.

I have lived at my current address for nearly 4 years, and they have this address, but im just worried that they will "come after me" if i move.

Just looking for some advice as to what i can do and if they will affect my credit file somehow (even if they arent on it?)

Thanks

x

All CCJ's should be listed in here. Not used it before so can't say what information you will be required to give. Hopefully they were just idle threats.

    Nuts to it.

I phoned up Experian and they double checked and I have got a CCJ registered to me from over 4 years ago.

    Im kicking myself.

Just waiting to call the court and see what its for. Its only for £159 as well so i may be able to get it cleared.

It'll still be recorded on your file though. Good for you for clearing it up though - many wouldn't bother.
