Written off debts (noy IVA)

I have come accross a company who claim to write off credit card debts, car finance, secured loans and delete from the credit register. Regulated through the Ministry of Justice. Its all done through flaws on contracts evidently using litigation solicitors. Surely this cant be true is it, if so ML will be advising wouldn't he? Has anybody else come accross this? I have looked on google for a scam but can not find one.

It's rubbish. They'll no doubt charge a fee and there'll be very little or no chance they can do it. If they could, why isn't everyone doing it and as you say, why isn't Martin recommending it?

Oh and all reputable finance companies have to be registered with the FSA, and regulated by the Financial Ombudsman, not the 'Ministry of Justice'...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Taken from justice.org.ukThe Ministry of Justice is responsible for the courts, prisons, probation, criminal law and sentencing. It was created on 9 May 2007.

Claims management companies must also be registered on the Minstry of Justice register.Martin_Lewis wrote:All claims companies must be regulated for claims management activities and will have a reference to check (e.g. CRM1234) on the Ministry of Justice database. Avoid anyone not on this list.
Just because they are on there, doesn't mean that they aren't a rip off though.
