i would like a fairisle jumper

hello a relative in canada would like a fair isle jumper any ideas i have done a web search but not found much
what shops can i just go to buy

    I think you'll find the local word for Fair Isle jumpers is 'ganzie' ;)

    OMG - the money some people will pay for the ugliest lookin' things....! I know i will probably get shouted at for slating them but Yuk!!!!! I can think of nicer, warm items to wear! :p
    Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

    We have been to Shetland the last few years on holiday and love it - they have a unique way of recycling their fairisle jumpers - they turn them into Burra Bears - you can give them your old jumper or perhaps one of a family member who has passed on and they will ake it into a bear for you - we bought one as a souvenir a few years back.     I thought there may have been a link on their page for Fair Isle Jumpers too - had a good look and cant although there are a lot of shops listed that also sell the jumpers. There was another part to the company that made Fair Isle Poncho type ( not for men though) it was called Mam's Makin ( it was the Burra Bears mum who was making them.

    Hey try www.shetland-knitwear.com she also sells the Poncho's and the bears and they now do a Fair Isle hoodie jumper!!
