Hi all but especially Seax Taxi Hypno, and Sea
For those of you who I emailed about finding a home for the two cats, we now have found one at The Algernon Trust, which a very kind lady who takes in old cats. Bless her. We have taken them today. Willow as soon as I plonked her in the cat basket, just stayed in there, but Amber stalked around and was full of hisses at everything and everyone! Just a difference in temperament. I hope they will be very happy there. The best thing about it is that she will keep them there, whether she finds a foster family/new owner or not. Bless.
Secondly after a VERY LONG process we have finally had the house packed (22nd/23rd May). And what a nightmare that was! Much worse than just moving house. You know all those boxes that you think 'oh I won't look at them now, I will look at them after the move', well when you only have a finite amount of space on hand, you have to sort through ALL of those boxes and decide whether, to hold onto it, sell it, freecycle it or take it to the recycling!!!!
And now that we have the cats sorted we were able to book the flights. That is a funny old game too, for months the best price was on the 10th June. But as you got close to the date, the cheapest day became the 12th June. Go figure! So that is the date we are flying. It means we get into Auckland early on Saturday, and so the fun begins!!!
We are getting a campervan for the first few weeks so that we can see houses/schools/go to job interviews etc, and after that we will hopefully settle somewhere to rent.
So pretty much we will be off the air until then.
Hope that all of your debt busting goes well.
WORK HARD!!!!!:D

Will let you know how I get on

Good luck Chev.
I'm sure your kitties will be very happy at the Algernon Trust. Old cats are a bit cranky but they all adapt quite easilly.
Now i've looked at the site I want to re-home a few more but realistically 2 adults 2 elderly cats a toddler and a baby that could arrive any moment is not the right time. I'm such a soft touch
Good luck againMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000
