I'm sure there was an offer, originally. That said, consider the company offering it. Lawyers are not exactly renowned as the world's most scrupulous people, are they?

oh yea I forgot to say, my alarm clock ARRIVED a few days after phoning them, and it's really cool, so they do have some left, just phone them and say you are waiting for the clock and give details agian, the guy was very cool who I spoke to, cheers

Definitely not a con. I got mine and it was promptly claimed by my 6 year old. Battery was included too.
