    Hello bigbeff,

I would only echo what everyone else has said, apart from one or two areas, perhaps entertainment for example your budget looks fairly do-able. One thing though, the car. I know that yours has been good and not needed too much work this year but still I really think that it's a good idea to work out how much it costs you in total for insurance , maintenance and tax a year, then divide that figure by twelve and the put that amount aside every month possible in a savings account. That way, you won't struggle to find a lump sum for the insurance, or if and when the car does need some TLC and maintenace. It's what I do and it really helps with my budgeting and planning.

It might also be useful to track your spending for a month or two to see exactly wher any spare cash could be going. You don't need to do it forevever, just a while to see where you be going astray. I used www.spendingdiary.com/ and it really helped me see where it all went.

    Best of luck

Well done on the water. I was paying £32 pm and got it reduced to £12 pm which I thought was a good deal. However, not had it assessed recently so it's likely to drop as I am at work all day.
