Ah right, silly me. AXA + Standard Life to have a lot of funds, do they just have a 0.8% charge?

    Is Scottish Widows charge 0.64%?

Is there a website that compares the different pensions against each other? and how do I know which provider has the best funds?

Also, how do the commission options work?

Can't really say for sure how Cavendish work re amc as I haven't used them. I do know that Scottish Widows's amc is dependent on the funds chosen with the internal funds having a lower charge than the external ones. I would therefore imagine that cavendish would give a discount of 0.45% which may turn out to be 0.64% or may be higher. You would need to ask Cavendish.

The pension is just a wrapper which contains the funds so you will not find a comparison site for "best providers". You will need to look at the funds and decide if the are suitable for you. Trustnet and Citywire are two websites where you can look at fund performance.

Your other option, rather than going DIY, is to seek help from an IFA in setting up and looking after your pension over the years. You may find that their expertise more than makes up for discounts going DIY.
