BR forms

I've had a quick glance again at the forms for bankruptcy and wow do they look confusing. Rang CAB but they don't have any appointments for a month, I'm due to go to court on the 24th! So I've got as far as my name and address haha! I'll have to get a mug of coffee a pen my hubby and a dictionary out lol! Will do all this at the weekend.

I don't know about everyone else but does anybody have sleepless nights? Isn't it an awful situation? I'm just hoping the Official Receiver is ok as thats what I'm worried most about, don't know what I need for them etc. What kind of questions do they ask and how can it last upto an hour and a half? And what do I have to have to hand when I speak to them? I haven't got bank statements and I've changed over in the last few months to the co-op so will I need my bank statements from my other bank too?

I've been with the cccs, and they've been great but I would like to speak in person to someone so they can go throught the forms and bankruptcy with me, I'm gutted I can't get an appointment with CAB. Oh well, you poor people are gonna have to be my CAB :rotfl: You may well get your heads battered in the next few weeks ;)

    Hiya Marste

Spoke to my OR office for the first time this afternoon - was bricking it in advance - but she was very professional and courteous. I don't know when my interview will be yet, but I plan to have a copy of SOA, a basic outline of why I went BR, and a huge bottle of water on hand! :rotfl:

I did the forms on-line and did them a chunk at a time. It took me several days, but as soon as my eyes started blurring and things stopped making sense, I shut them down.

And yes, the sleepless nights were/are pretty horrendous :( I felt like my neck was as stiff as a poker, and even after sleeping felt totally wiped. It is getting better now having got the court date out of the way, but I reckon I won't settle down til after my OR interview.

    Ask away mate - that's why we're here :)

I don't know about everyone else but does anybody have sleepless nights?Yep we all did:D Isn't it an awful situation? Yes it is.I'm just hoping the Official Receiver is ok as thats what I'm worried most about, don't know what I need for them etc. What kind of questions do they ask and how can it last upto an hour and a half? They usually go though the SOA form checking that everything you put down is correct, also go though all your debts, when they were taken out ,what for, when you were cc,ba last used, any large purchses(not always), when did you realise you were insolvent,ho did you pay bc fees,in you own words what led to your bc ect ect. It can and often does last an hour as the OR has to write everything down as you are talking and not everybody knows shorthand:D And what do I have to have to hand when I speak to them?Your SOA and a big piece of paper with DO NOT WAFFLE ONLY SPEAK WHEN SPOKEN TO on:D I haven't got bank statements and I've changed over in the last few months to the co-op so will I need my bank statements from my other bank too? :confused:Anything you do not have an the OR wans he can get himself.

I would thoroughly recommend doing the forms online rather than by hand. They are legal documents and are as confusing as confusing can be.

At least online, you can go through each stage as you want to and it will not permit you to submit it until you have completed each section and confirmed you have completed each section - then you do not run the risk of missing anything.

Online appears to be more straightforward, but in ecessence they are the same things!!

Remember though if you do decide on the online form filling save often!! as the site can sometimes crash meaning you've lost what you typed
