Help de-fluffing my sofa!

Hi Guys

Have a terracotta sofa which looks gorgeous with nice black scatter cushions on it, problem is it is absolutely horrendous to clean!

It (and the cushions) appear to have some magic dust/fluff magnet and for some reason the fluff always looks blue! Whats that all about?! Anyway I have spent a small fortune on 'cleaning aids' that are supposed to lift fluff easily, stop fluff sticking, all sorts of wonderful things but so far none have worked!

Do any of you OSers know of anything I could try?

It sounds like the cushions I used to have (they're now relegated to 'ornaments' in the corner on top of the foot stool). I used to clean them using sticky tape wrapped round my hand (sticky side outwards obviously) and remove the fluff that way.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

Put a rubber glove on and lightly dampen it then rub your hand over the surface of the fabric, it should collect up in a nice big sausage of fluff :)

I second floyd's tip above...works great at removing cat hair off my bedding and sofa.

  • Sounds better than making hubby sit on the floor! Told him I thought it was his fault and he must just be a 'fluffy person'! lol
