Using my Premier Voucher I Won

After Winning a £10 premier Voucher I was really happy, its was much needed. I know some other MSE'rs won these and a few £100 ones too.
I was just wondering if anyone has had trouble using them.
My hubby had to have quite a row in the store to get them to take it for our shopping. How rude to a WINNER haha
I just wrote this KIND email to Premier:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I was one of the lucky winners of a £10 premier voucher from the Kitkat competition. Many Thanks for this it has come in really handy.
However I am writing to inform you of my treatment when trying to use it at my local store. My nearest shop is Food & Wine Corner,
182 Bushey Mill Lane Watford, Herts WD24 7PE.
When arriving with the voucher we showed it to the shop keeper to make sure that there would be no problems using it at his 'Premier' shop. He was quite rude and abrupt in telling us that we cannot use it there and would need to find another Premier store. We kindly reminded him that the voucher can be used at any premier store and can be used for food to the value of £10. To which he tutted and reluctently agreed.
I felt his manner was not necessary in this occassion, as I was just a 'winner' going to the store to claim my prize.
After being impressed with the locality of this store and the items you have in stock, I will make a point of never shopping there again, purely from his treatment of us.
Im sure not all Premier stores are like this, its a shame one had to ruin it!
:::: GOOD RANT ?? but just wondered if others had been treated the same? I managed to get some food but with Ketchup being £1.75 for a small bottle it wasnt much oops!

Yes, I also won a £10 voucher and was questioned in depth by the shopkeeper! 2 staff huddled together conferring over my voucher and letter which I'd taken in too and then they made a phone call. They questioned me on whether I was local, how often I used the shop but eventually let me use it for 2 bottles of wine. I must admit I only use the shop every couple of months as a small co-op is nearer and stocks more fresh food.0

Well done on your win, just a shame you got treated like that by the shop owner!Liz xx0

You're not the only one who had trouble, I won a £10 voucher at the end of last year and we had quite an argument with the shopkeeper, who I think felt we were robbing from him personally.
Its just not what you need when its a perfectly legitimate win.Olympics Challenge

I had similar probs - but I knew I would. I grabbed 4 selection boxes and gave them my voucher, they said that they couldn't take it as the shop was due to change hands .... I just walked out. Got home rang the number up on the voucher and complained. The woman on the phone said that I could spend my voucher there but perhaps they didn't know about the promotion .... I went back .... then I handed them the phone number and asked them to ring it - and they did, they must've been on the phone for for 15 mins asking how they would get the money back  I was made to feel like some sort of cheat when it should've been a happy occasion
Congrats on your win - we all got there eventually0 -

I had a problem spending a Premier voucher too, so took name of shopkeeper and rang the number enclosed with winning letter. Customer services were great rang the store gave the shopkeeper a telling off then I went back and spent voucher.
A big hassle I know but couldnt be bothered arguing about it store and looking an idiot - its easier to just report them to head office and let them sort it0 -
I also won a voucher and gave it to my wife to use..... Oh I wished I hadn't
she had a similar experience and bent my ear upon her return!

I won a £10 voucher too.
I live in Croydon and the nearest Premier Store was a couple of bus rides away (in Wallington).
I have to say that I was treated like a star. The shopkeeper was very welcoming and made lovely comments about my Jute bag (which was another comp win) while packing away my goodies:DEleventh Heaven No. 321
