Your totally wrong there. You can take any pension from age 50 currently with or without the employers consent and there's naff all he can do about it.0

In theory Retired IFA is correct.But if someone tried it, he would probably find that the transfer value offered by the LGPS would be so low than no IFA could recommend the move as clearly the pensioner would be much worse off - and thus no new provider would accept the funds.Trying to keep it simple...

As far as I remember, the OP was asking about taking his LGPS benefits early, not transferring benefits out to enable getting the benefits early.0
