Swap clubcard points for airmailes or takes the vouchers and switch for deals?

My wife and I collect as many clubcard points as we can, as we are saving for a trip to USA in a couple of years. For the last 2 or 3 years we have had the points automatically converted into airmiles, but I recently noticed that we might actually be better of taking the clubcard vouchers and then using them to pay for the holiday? Any ideas? Can we pay for the holday with Virgin using airmiles and deal vouchers?

Plus any extra tips of collecting clubcard points faster would be appreciated. We have found that the most effective method is clubcard plus.

Just recently I have looked for flights on Airmiles and have found that actually finding any available a nightmare. Don't know whether it's me but the search tool used on the website makes the task very painstaking.

On the flip side using clubcard vouchers for firms with brochures will make sure you pay the brochure price even though their website has a special price.

Anyone else have any airmiles tips?
