Hi Diane, thanks for replying, got myself in a right pickle earlier. secured loan will be dearer per month for us but he claimed "its ours" if we want it. we really cannot afford the upfront fees with First Nat mortgage at mo so we feel backed into a corner. He did however say that after two years or so we can hope to re finance the lot to a lower rate but ido know that you pay a penalty that way. we are going over figures tonight with some paracetamol! bit disappointed that he only came up with two options though, he also mentioned that although he gets paid through commission, he is going to charge us a fee as "I have done a bit more work, because of your situation", which i feel is absolute beeswax!!! he only worked thursday before ringing to make the appointment today!! Thanks for replying, means a lot

  • Hi, i would seriously go to someone else cos he is really not giving you the full picture. First national will let you add the fees to the mortgage and he shouldnt be asking for anything from you if you go with the 1st national deal as they will pay him his commision. My broker has done stacks more work than yours could of done in that amount of time and i will not be paying him 1 penny extra.
