How could they ever find out..?

If I changed my residential mortgage to a buy to let mortgage on a property where my mother lives, and didn't disclose she was a relative as she has a different name, how could they ever find out..? And what is the worst that could happen if they did? Surely all they care about is the repayments..?

  • You might get away with this particular fraud.
Then you might try something more ambitious.
