Scottis Widows!!!!!!

Hi anyone deal with Scottish Widows on here, myself and my partner are in the process of getting a new Nationwide mortgage and all they need is my girlfriends last years mortgage statements. Easy eh, well we asked for these 2 weeks ago and she still has not received them yet and twice they say they've sent them out, this is holding our mortgage deal up and we're getting really pi--ed with them.
Anyone else had problems releating to Scottish Widows and paperwork??

Stessed!!!!

As an (ex) broker I can tell you I used to hate doing any applications with them as they were always useless.
  • Thanks Andy, thats exactly what our mortgage broker said, we just can't believe its taking this long, we've had our mortgage valualtion completed on our house 1 day after the application went through, but 2 weeks down the line we still have'nt got this paperwork through, my partner is telling them she's going to complain to the ombundsman ( not sure what that will do ) they just don't seem helpfull at all ( scottish widows that is ). The problem is this is eating into out exchange of contracts date.

I have only done two cases with them. Both took time, both needed lots of paperwork. They will not have cases of arrears left right and centre as although I found them old school they underwrote very well.

However they are not the only lender to be poor with clients leaving them, I could name and shame a stack that take so long with basic admin tasks. I seem to remember Nationwide cocking up a redemption statement.

Not sure what I am waffling on about now so I am off!
