earwigs  I hate them.
So I don't have the sort of flowers they like.;)
I'm NOT peg obsessive! I just like my washing to look like it has been hung properly and not thrown on the line:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
socks in pairs...It looks like I'm amongst friends here though!!

My rule was undies on the inside of the whirlygig and sheets on the longer lines at the edges.
I have been experimenting with pegs for years. I would like to be eco friendly but the wooden dolly pegs don't grip as well as ones with a spring.
Therefore, as my plastic ones turn brittle and die, I am replacing them with sprung wooden pegs. They all live in a little bucket with a lid that used to be our nappy bucket and that sits on the top of the dryer in the porch0 -

You want to be careful posting things like that apparently - though I have yet to find out what these experimenters do as I have firewalls and safe search :rotfl:

Worth a try I think - clove oil spiders dislike, flies too. Flies don't like eucalyptus oil. These two as essential oils dropped on cloths hung on the line might help.
I was thinking along the lines of bugs dislike mint and came across this
http://www.wikihow.com/Grow-a-Pest-Repellent-Herb-Gardensorry to make a sensible post. I have mix and match pegs
One day I might be more organised...........

Reminds me of the video (on youtube?) with the demo of how to peg out washing - plus the hilarious one of the lads who pegged their friend to the line :rotfl:The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
