Cheap Webcam
mrpete
hello,
i want a really cheap webcam, really just for quick photographs of things (so if i am talking to a mate about something, i can easily just turn on webcam so he can see rather than take a photo upload to computer then send the file etc).
Where is the cheapest (inc postage, if buying online).
Thanks

£12.89 delivered is the cheapest I found so far0 -
What about this little Sweex webcam? Ebuyer sells them for under £9, with delivery a snip (compared to Amazon.co.uk at least) at just £3.22* or thereabouts.
*Provided that the whole lot weighs less than 500 grams, anyway.0 -
Hrmm maybe. I was hoping to be a bit cheap and get onefor like a fiver lol!
I might get a ps2 game/eye toy that i saw for £20, then i get a web cam and a game.0 -
Try Argos £11.99 for one or £17.99 for two (BOGOF). At least you can get it today and no postage charges.0

Meh still more than i want to pay lol. Surely there are cheaper places, as webcams used to always get given away free with magazing subscriptions, internet accounts etc0

I got one last week from EBay - lovely little model with a built in mic....£9.99 plus delivery Buy It Now - I got mine in auction for 8.99. Lovely - does the job and was here pretty quick. I came over all dumb when installing and the seller was pretty helpful getting me sorted.

And I don't know if it was just me but my Eye Toy wouldn't transfer to web cam.....The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0 -

the EyeToy makes an excellent webcam, the quality is miles better than any of the dedicated pc cams at a similar price ... I have a comparison pic somewhere, I'll see if I can find it & post a link to it
& you might well find it cheaper than £20 if you shop around
EDIT ... ok, HERE it is (hope it works) the two cams were sitting side by side at the time, so obviously had the same conditons, the EyeToy is at the bottom0
