Im sorting out my remortgage now.
Going for another 5 yr fixed rate!

I will be paying 20 quid a month less than I am now and because of the better interest rate i have remortgaged over 18 instead of 20 years!

I will have £127,250 Left on my mortgage.

also i can make up to 10% overpayments a year as well at any frequency. So i can overpay as little as 30p here n there.

    It all makes the difference:D

Did you make use of your ISA as proposed back in 2008? It has taken you a while from planning to overpay to actually getting round to it?

Well done for what you have done so far!

Since then we have had a baby girl so my partner left work, which has lost us 1200 a month in wages. So never made use of my isa. Slowly but surely my wages have increased so i'm only just earning enough now to make overpayments.

    thanks for your support;)

Good luck in your overpayments. I am 27 so about the same age as you and am busy trying to get my mortgage down - along with my car loan.

It is a long road to take but I am starting to make some progress. Keep going - every penny paid is of benefit. :D
