Of course, they never but it in writing,

There lies the problem. You don't have any proof.

on ocasions, I have even been told my lenders that they will guarantee not to check the clients income if they agreed to take out an insurance policy with them, as well as the mortgage ;)

    In writing?

A lot of the high street lenders that are so called " pillars of society" are very corrupt organisations, believe me
    .

I do believe you, but you haven't got any proof it seems? They could just deny it and the fraud paper trial will lead to your door and that of the borrowers.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

    No, no proof.
It would only be my word against theirs, and they would deny it all.

I have no personal concerns though, as I did not take them up on any of their "suggestions"

Until such time as the commission on a mortgage sets me up for life, and there is a 99.9999999999999% chance that I would not get found out, I think I'll give mortgage fraud a miss :o

We must treat customers fairly. Lets tell them they cant get the mortgage, even though they can afford the equivalent rent, so they must pay rent and make a middle class landlord richer and cause the wealth divide that causes liberals so much anxt, to grow ever wider and thus entrench life chance differentials even further.

I may be a bit thick but I am not quite sure whether you are advocating fraud as part of a political agenda.

On the other hand Conrad you could conspire to defraud though not for personal gain I trust.

Perhaps there is a need for the creation of a Building Society in their original format:

A group of people would start saving. When there was enough to buy or build a house there would be a lottery and the person who won would get the home. The rest they then saved, would be ploughed back into the society and a second lottery would be held and so on.

Sure, there is an element of luck, but at least those currently denied access to mortgage loans could get a property?

    R.
Smile :), it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
