in Bankruptcy & living with it
Hi all,
as of 10:45 today (10th June 2008) I'm officially Bankrupt.
  • 09:30- entered local county court
  • 10:00- all the paperwork sorted and fees paid
  • 10:05- swore an oath on the holy bible
  • 10:35- called in to see judge
  • 10:45- wife and I both declared bankrupt.
My wife didn't sleep last night because of the worry of attending court today, I tossed and turned but dropped off eventually. Felt quite sick driving to court. I think if we had have known what to expect prior to our court visit we would not have been so apprehensive. I won't say it was easy, but certainly less painful than we both expected.
I hope my comments can help others who may be struggling and worrying about going bankrupt.
I'll continue to add our experiences and hopefully others may find my postings of help.;)
