Morning All,
Not sure if this Forum is the right place for this, but its the only one ive used previously and found helpful.
I'd like to know if I request an additional bank account from my current bank (barclays) Identical to the one ive got (but without an O/D), will they do a credit check or just give me it? Reason being I have just bought a house, and I'd like to transfer my monthly 'spending money' out of my current account, and into another account.
I have an account with another bank but its a maestro card, which is sometimes a pain to use over the counter or on the internet.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael.

Hi Michael
I am unsure as to whether they will give you another bank account without doing a credit check (especially one with an O/D as that is a form of credit).
Re: the Maestro card, I have one and have not found anywhere that doesnt take it (not sure if thats a good thing :rotfl: ). Its the same as a switch and much better than a Solo card.
