Were selling our large house and using the profit to buy a smaller home and be morg free. I will miss my huge kitchen and bedrooms but hey ho all those extra spendies :rotfl: ermmmmm maybe not lol were gonna be saving for our furture as hubby is self employed and we need savings for when he retires etc.
Weve hadto buy a ex council house but most of them round there have been private for years brought under right to buy i think. When we brought this house i was so excited as it was the home ive always wanted but ive now realised home is where ur family are and what u make it not what size your home is i would rather have the exta money in the bank and be able to take my daughter on holiday !!
good luck to u all trying to pay your morg off xxx

Well done you :-) You have a great attitude. A lot of people coming from a large house would turn their noses up at an ex-council and i really don't know why coz (certainly in Scotland at any rate) you can get a lot more space for your money - both inside and out. And, as they say, home is where the heart is. I hope you have booked somewhere nice for a holiday.0 -

Well done, I have an ex-council house and think they are really well built! Can't hear the neighbours at all which is great (I'm an acoustic consultant so know all about how bad things can be)0

Hi there, I just wanted to sya hi, and that my home too was an ex council house.
I don't mind this and I have alot of good neighbours who are the same.
Just enjoy being mortgage free and the extra money....:money:Why do people feel the need to keep up with the Jones's ?? Why do some people feel the need to out do there friends and family ?? is this real happiness ??0 -
Well done you, I live in an ex-council house which is far bigger than any other house we looked at and convinient for getting to our small but lovely town center. Most of the houses are private now and you can tell by the work that has been put into them.
We would never have been able to buy a house like this where we came from in Bedford, we love where we live and only a few minutes from the beach!0
