A&L's premium saver

What does anyone reckon to the A&L premium saver account at 12% AER? I know you have to open a current acc. with them but is this a good saver acc. to go for and do the change? Is this the start of some competitive rates between the banks & is it better to sit tight for a while until more offers come out?
