What's the best way to use Nectar points?

I've got about 56,000 of these things which I could use for £280 at Mr. Sainsbury's. I know there used to be better exchange rates but couldn't anything useful on their website now.

Doubling up 500 points to £5 of a meal will take me a long time to use them up, I believe there is a Thomsons offer but can't find details - is this a limited offer too?

Any help appreciated

Use them as part payment on a holiday or take the family for a day out. You can find what to spend them on at https://www.nectar.com

Either that or you could give them to me for my birthday on sunday!!!!

500 points = £2.50 off anything in the Argos catalogue. May not be the most efficient way to used them but certainly the easiest - just hand over your Nectar card in store and the deduction is made for you.

newmoneysaver, thanks for the direct link - the T&C suggest it's quite hard to shift any quantity of these - but certainly it's the best value so far (even though it suggests I'd lose the web saving cos you can't have any other offers).

And hjb123, yes, some of the days out look OK, but most of the ones I've seen I think you can get similar offers for anyway.

When it first came out you could do double value at Burtons in any quantity, they replaced this with a maximum of one voucher (=£5) when I'd just got enough for a new suit - bah! I'm hoping there's still something like this out there that I haven't found yet.

Since Barclaycard dumped Nectar, I'm a bit worried it might dwindle and I'd get nothing for them.

I had baout the same amount last year and was looing for a new fridge and freezer and after looking in Argos catalogue there were none we liked.
So we decided to buy them from Currys and therefore used the Nectar points for our shopping each week and then putting the cost of the shopping (cash) into a savings account then paying off the credit card with this money when the bill arrived. This way we still used the Nectar points and still got the fridge and freezer.

I think it took us about 5 weeks to use all of the vouchers.
