We found you had to take the hol when they said, short notice, couldn't say where we'd stay, etc. Being a comper I was suspicious from the off and asked them lots of questions and found it was a con. That was about 10 years ago! Sorry.
ps. also think we were expected to look at timeshares, etc when there"Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm Welsh" Cerys Matthews0 -
I had one of these phone calls last Friday, exactly the same options, exactly the same terms (£29.50 per person), when I rang the number, I was told by a rather snotty woman (when I questioned having to pay the surcharge) that I had not been told I had "won" a holiday because I hadn't. I had been awarded a holiday, subject to me paying the fees and attending a timeshare exhibition (or something like that). I politely (well about as politely as she was talking to me
) said thanks but no thanks!!

Unfortunately my mum had one of these last week so i called em back and started asking them stuff about the company and they do say you have won stuff just to get you to call back.
I gave the lady name and ref no and she asked me for my tel no i said you called me so have my no already.
I think they have bought a list of nos from some place, prob from one of the times you forget to tick the magic box.
sorry it's not a win but good luck for your next one0 -
it sounds like a time share holiday company to me0

I had a phone call at work saying I had WON a holiday for 4 people. They gave me a code and told me to ring 08009889901. They said I filled out a consumer survey and thats how they got my details. I rang this number and spoke to a lady called Betty who was quite ubrupt. She confirmed that I had WON a holiday and all I would have to do is book an appointment to pick up my holiday tickets and pay them a booking fee of £29.50. She said I would have to take a form of I.D and asked me questions like am I a home owner? how old I was and how much I earned. . Stupid me told her these details and booked the appointment. Later that evening I found this site and desided to call them back and ask more questions. The lady, again was quite snotty and changed her story. She said I had not won a holiday, but been AWARDED a holiday and that The appointment was a 3 Hour seminar about timeshares. And IF we were awarded the holiday we would have to attend a seminar whilst on the holiday. I told her that I looked the company up on the computer and told her what feedback I found on various forums - her responce was that they ALL were ex-employees with a grudge - I cancelled the appointment. IF YOU GET A CALL FROM CLC HOLIDAYS AND RESORTS CLAIMING YOU HAVE WON A HOLIDAY . .HANG-UP THE PHONE. ITS A TIMESHARE SCAM0
