Help! Not paid properly for last month

First month of me paying our rent, and I only got my bonus and holiday pay! I'm owed another £900.
I only got £350 paid and that barely clears my overdraft (got one due to ridiculous month of one off expenditure).
What do I do? I've rung work but the person is on holiday so I've emailed for another number and rung my boss too. I'm going back to work tomorrow so I want it sorted out for then.
Cant afford to miss rent, does anyone have any experience with things like this?

Most companies will organize some kind of salary advance to cover mess ups like this-especially when it is obviously their fault.
Talk to your boss and get his/her advice on the best person to speak to about it in the company.
EDIT I agree with the later post-You don't need to create merry hell to start with-give them a chance to put it right first and save the merry hell for if they don't !!!I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Create merry hell when you get into work. That's dreadful, certainly you should be expecting them to do ALL that they can to minimise your costs.
They may offer you a loan (if their calculations are right, and that's what you should have received)
Otherwise they should surely make an extra payment of what you should receive, and not make it carry over to next month?
(I do the accounts for a v.small company, and the payroll is sacrosanct, I'd rather have the bills paid late than do anything to jeopardise the payroll.)
I do hope you get it sorted.0 -
I would suggest being calm but firm would get a better approach - ask for your wages, but be reasonable as there may be a perfectly good reason why it wasn't paid, and payroll staff & banks can make mistakes.0

The reason is Im paid in advance and not in arrears, so thats all im getting.
How could I have missed something like this?
I feel a full SOA, list of debts coming on!
My girlfriend was in tears earlier due to it all, Im going back to this place (I left to take up a new job but I was worse off financially) so I will be back tomorrow (fingers crossed) which means July will be payday for the whole of July and the rest of this month.0 -
Hello
I work in payroll, and there are quite a few companies who pay their employees in advance, but the employer sometimes advances some of the money to help. I would suggest asking for some of you June Money to paid for in advance. Employers do normally try to help employees as much as possible!
Hope everything works out well.
Kind regards
Allan
