help/advice with maybe changing mortage ?

Options
hi, we have had a mortgage for 3yrs now, fistly with halifax on some 1st time buyer discount rate, now with alliance and lester (sorry for spelling) on the variable rate. we are 'tied' into this 'deal' till jan....what do we do then?? we had amrtgage advisor the first and 2nd time but they are charging £100 a go now, which is too much really just for advice now im a stduent..well it is if we can get iit for free!!!

we have always followed the variable rate and would be happy to continue doing so, but would like either lower mthly costs or to clear it faster (spose thats what every1 wants) i am a student n urse for the next 3 yrs so we wont be moving or changing circumstances till then, when we hope to move house.

we have 50k left term 21yrs, currently paying £320 per mth

just wandered if we stay with a n l or look for a deal?how does it work with mortgages? thanks in advance xxxxxxx

ask A&L for deatils of renewal rates/ fees ( might be on their website)

compare these against the range of products on the open market- using either the comparison sites or a broker ( many won't charge - see martin's article for links for both ) - remember to include all costs / time/ hassle in your comparison of the A&L and other deals ( fees particularly important on what is now considered a smallish mortgage)
