Are they available and where from.
There was a thread about them in here, but I think the included link was a US site.
I know I am single and my washing usually consists of sweaty shirts and trousers that just need freshening up, but my "electric free" washing machine is usually referred to as "the sink" in my house.0 -
With the cost of leccy going up, they would come in handy.0

This is the thread where it was discussed.

I really like this one though:

even if it is cos I wouldn't get a puncture.0 -
If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, there's a hand operated machine that takes 4lbs of washing. Not sure how much that is, but it might be worth looking at. I'm sure I've seen then cheaper in catalogues too.0

I used one of these for five months when I moved into a new flat and couldn't afford an automatic washing machine. It did the job! Used to take me a couple of hours to do a fortnight's laundry. You will find that a spin dryer (yes, I know it's electric, but it's not on for long) will make the job a whole lot easier - you can use it to rinse and spin. Rinsing with the Wonder Wash is an a*se.
I got mine from an online camping place called Waudbys, but shop around other online camping/caravanning places for a good deal. Expect to pay about £35 for it.0
