    hi,

LOL I handed my Dr's letter in this morning (when I could finally leave the house - lmping seems to make everything take soooo much more time) and called into the support services and they said I really would need to speak to the counsellor but they could likely do me a letter straight away so with any luck I will ahve that one tommorrow. The Dr's letter didnt say a great deal really but they did say they wont say much as its confidential.

Here's just hoping and waiting now,

just checked my uni email and the course leader has replied to my email and said that I handed my EC's in very late (she only replied on Monday to my email saying that the board met on Tuesday and I handed them in at 10.30 on Tuesday morning!) and that there was no evidence in the envelope (I clearly stated that I had requested this and would get it to them as soon as possible).

They seem to be aiming to make me feel as bad as possible and get at me all the time.

I doubt they are "aiming" to make you feel bad. The problem is that exam boards only meet once a year, and they involve an external examiner who has to come in from another university. Decisions surrounding extenuating circumstances are usually made with input from the external to ensure everything is done in a fair and consistent manner. Therefore if documentation isn't received in time for the exam board, it does make things rather difficult. Usually, departments issue students with a deadline for receipt of documentation surrounding extenuating circumstances. Did they not do this?

    hi,

    Nope... no deadline.

Its more that she has ignored several emails and then only got back to me the day before the board met, and then seemed to be implying that I was in the wrong.

print out all those emails and include them with your evidence, with a covering note saying that you are really sorry these are late, but you were not provided with the information until the day before.

    hi

I received the letter from the other organisation where I received counselling and just suddenly realised that they may think that as I had a lot of counselling last academic year that I should be ok by now. I feel very mixed up today so maybe my logic is all wrong.

I don't think it matters if you have had external circumstances going on.

I was told they don't like people claiming for chronic illnesses as they see normal symptoms as predicatable, but it is different if external events (which you could not have foreseen) have excerbated your illness iyswim?
