car keys won't lock car

We have a 4 yr old peugeot 307cc, Yesterday OH 's car keys stopped working on the remote locking. Mine still work OK to lock and unlock the car, OH's just work for unlocking only.
Will we need a new key (hope not as when I lost mine it cost a fortune to get it replaced) or do you think it's the battery, is it someting we can fix ourselves or does the Peugeot garage have to be involved

    It's probably just the battery. Same thing happened to me. Changed it myself and it worked fine

    The car's manual, or a peugot forum, should be able to describe how to go about changing the battery,
