can't change my password on aol

hi, i hope someone can help.

i checked my mail on aol this morning, and have found a load of returned emails (daemon mail). emails have been sent to my entire address book.

i'm guessing my emails being hacked, so i need to change my password.

but here's the thing: i wont let me. it only lets me put in 7 digits of my 8 digit old password. and on the new password i can only put in a max of 7 digits.

then it comes up with a little screen saying someone else is changing my password and to try again later.

i cant access their 'live help', and in the meantime some iot is flooding my friends email boxes with rubbish.

please help, what do i do
